About Pilates

Pilates was created by Joseph Pilates who was a body builder, boxer, gymnast, yogi, wrestler, skier, diver & martial artist (to name a few). He grew up a sickly child & studied many kinds of self improvement & physical training methods, thus creating contrology.

There's lots of exercises, modifications and equipment to accommodate individual needs & increase overall health. 

Some benefits are:

  • increased mind to muscle connection

  • stronger core

  • improved spinal stabilization

  • appearance of a more lean toned aesthetic

About me

Greetings! I'm Raven Harris, classical pilates apprentice, licensed clinical social worker and holistic health advocate. I love pilates and human performance so much that I decided to enroll in a comprehensive teacher training program.

 I'm studying, observing, teaching and self practicing to strengthen my skill sets & share the magic of pilates. I aim to create positively impactful habits and communities.

For me, contrology is an art form, physical and mental therapy. As a former cheerleader & dancer, it's a major key in living a happy, healthy and fun life.
